Plzeň, Czech Republic – The Pinoy Care Basketball League Season 4 officially concluded last Saturday, August 16, 2025, marking yet another successful event. The tournament brought together players and fans for another year of community basketball, with six teams competing at the Sports Hall TJ Lokomotiva in Cheb, Czech Republic.
The participating teams came from different cities in the region. Each team brought its own identity and energy that not only heightened the competition but also turned the league into a celebration of the Filipino community. The teams who participated are the following:
This season followed a three-day knockout playoff format, with no round-robin stage. After a thrilling series of games, Plzeň United emerged as the champions.
Final Standings:
1st Place: Plzeň United
2nd Place: Team Tchibo
3rd Place: Tambay Pogi
In the championship game, Plzeň United triumphed over Team Tchibo. Vincent Guanzon (Jersey No. 9) proved instrumental throughout the tournament and was named the league’s Most Valuable Player (MVP).
Women’s Basketball also took center stage during the event, featuring an exciting match between Team DHL and Team Xbox. The game highlighted the growing interest and participation of women in the league which adds another layer of vibe and inclusivity to the tournament.
The event was organized by Pinoy Care, with Ariel Kitane Funa, Bai Chester, and Faith Faisan leading the effort. Season 4 once again highlighted the strong sense of community fostered by the Pinoy Care Basketball League, setting the stage for even bigger seasons ahead.
