PRAGUE, CZ – Filipino participant Marvic Rivera won 1st place in the Sniper Slingshot Shooting event during the Pytlácká Stezka (Hunting Trail) gathering held at Tábořiště Louka near Vysoké Mýto, Czech Republic.
While the event included multiple outdoor activities, Rivera’s top finish was in the slingshot shooting category. He was awarded a trophy, certificate, and commemorative medals for his performance.
As a rising sport in the Czech Republic, the slingshot competition challenges participants to hit a series of distant targets using only a handheld slingshot often under time pressure. Precision, control, and consistency are key, as shooters must hit various targets placed at different ranges and heights.
Rivera’s win is a proud moment for the Filipino community and a mark of growing international participation in this unique and skill-based sport.
